This beautiful girl name up there is Miley Cyrus (named Destiny Hope Cyrus) was born on November 23, 1992 in Nashville Tennessee to Billy Ray Cyrus (actor/country singer) and Leticia Finley. She has five siblings: Christopher, Braison Chance, Noah Lindsey, Brandy and Trace. [Quick fact: her father nicknamed me Miley because he thought that since she was a baby I never stopped smiling.]
She had always admired my father and the way he performed in front of an audience and had always wanted to do so.
She received her first acting role in 2003, playing opposite her father in the TV series Doc. She then appeared in episodes of other shows. Later that year I had her big screen debut in the movie Big Fish, playing a young Ruthie.
In 2006 her family moved to Los Angeles and after many interviews and call-backs she received her break-out role as Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart in the Disney Channel hit Hannah Montana. The show has been a big hit for Disney.
She has recently signed a four album contract with Hollywood Records. The Hannah Montana Soundtrack will hit stores in on October 24, 2006.

Acting Career Begins:

Miley Cyrus began her acting career with a part in the TV series Doc which starred her father and a small role in the film Big Fish. At the age of 12 she auditioned for a role in a new Disney TV series Hannah Montana. Her persistence paid off with a callback audition and she was eventually selected to be the lead due to the recognition that she possessed the, "everyday relatability of Hilary Duff and the stage presence of Shania Twain."

The show Hannah Montana is the story of 14-year-old Miley Stewart who is an ordinary teenager by day but has a second life as pop star Hannah Montana at night. She wears a wig as Hannah, and her friends don't know that Miley is Hannah. Keeping that secret is a key plot point in the show. Hannah Montana was an instant success with Disney channel viewers. A soundtrack album released in October 2006 was a multi-platinum smash. It hit the top of the album chart and sold more than three million copies. The follow up was a 2 disc set, one of Hannah Montana and the second introducing Miley Cyrus. It was another #1.
